Have a friend who has a fish finder the transducer is bad on...he is going to give me the fish finder. I would like to mount the fish finder to the front area of boat and use for trolling motor unit...what do I need and am I getting into a project that would be better off just buying a new unit and not bothering with this project? Make and model to come once I find out.
