Alternator Kit for 35hp Evinrude?

Thanks for letting me Join, I have a Question, I have a 1983 35hp Evinrude, Tiller, it has the Starter Kit installed but no means of Charging, I checked with Crowley Marine, they said they could not find one and were unsure if there was ever a Kit made for it, but they suggested that I come here and ask, SO, is there a Kit Available?

welcome aboard

the most cost efective way to get both starting and charging on a 36 year old outboard is a 3-step process

step 1 - sell your motor for small pile of cash
step 2, empty your wallet onto the small pile of cash, making a larger pile of cash
step 3, take larger pile of cash and buy the motor you want.

unless you have emotional attachment to the motor you have, buy a different one. 30-40 year old motors are dirt cheap this time of year. (and cheaper than buying a pile of parts to convert yours)

Look an E-bay for a kit.--------Easy to install.------What is your location ?------Crowley must have a " new " employee that gave you some bad information.
