evinrude trolling motor removal

I have an older evinrude trolling motor and need to replace the wiring running through the shaft, how do i remove the motor from the shaft to be able to pull out the old wiring, all there is is a set screw but I cannot figure out how the motor comes off the shaft?

They are generally threaded and very likely sealed with a thread locker of some sort. Perhaps the motor housing can be disassembled and the wires pulled down (or up) the shaft.
