My motor acting up......cant find the fastest forward speed always.......Sometimes it catches sometimes not


Question:

Is the fastest reverse speed the same as fastest forward? Eg could i simply swap the red and black wires to the DC motor?


Any way to fix that variable resistor..if indeed it has a dead spot?

Any other ideas? Any jumpers i could install on the PWB to get the fastest forward speed?

This motor is a beast moves my little 14 rowboat nicely id like to keep it


Any switch schematics?

Fastest speed always bypasses the variable resistor. The problem is very likely the speed selector.
