That is good advice from all, much appreciated.

Looks like I'll have the time to let it acclimate, since I have no cash for the fiberglass supplies anyway - doh! It's hard to be in a rush, when you have no funds to rush it.

I ran into plywood issues when replacig my entire travle trailer floor......yeah..it's ALMOST as fun as rebuilding a boat.....anyway, I used Clear Penetrating Epoxy Sealant (CPES) from the ROT Doctor. It's a two part mix and it not only seals plywood or any wood, it also makes it stronger. It's a bit pricey, but doing it right has no dollar value to me. Just my experience and my 2 Pesos.

CPES is in the same faulty line of thought as thinning polyester. While it may soak in slightly better, it also significantly degrades the physical properties, this includes water resistance. Preventing rot has nothing to penetration, it's all about encapsulation.
