It seems this 1990 Evinrude Motor has Type II carbs when it’s supposed to have Type III
Jets for Low speed medium speed. Can anyone help me identify this carb.83CCF6F4-8B7F-4421-8D80-186C7B15E58D.png6876A348-FC48-44CF-9F51-470A71A32BAC.jpeg754F731B-BB9D-4BA1-9F73-1053EDCBA726.jpeg7251F07B-30D2-4E6A-B247-203393FE7D4F.jpegE76F3CFC-FE4B-445C-AFD0-1917A42386AC.jpeg

The pictures appear to be correct for a 1990 model.----What dimension do you see in the second picture , just above the bowl?-----Where did you get the idea that it has the wrong carburetor.----The first picture is a parts breakdown for a 1979 or older carburetor !!!----Why are you asking this question ?-----What is your motor doing / not doing ?

Boat has sat for almost three yrs in a mine in Pa. I drained gas tank and fushed. Put in fresh fuel. Will not start. Getting no fuel to to cylinders.
if you look you will see it is supposed to have two jets on Bowl. It only has One jet like the type two.
I cleaned carbs, reinstalling now. will check fuel pump and electric primer next

I’m confused as to what else you need. I can show you a drawing of the type II if that helps.

??----But you have to remove the bowl to find / service the idle jet.------I must have 30 or 40 of these carburetors laying around.----So yes I am quite familiar with these things.-----First thing I would do is a compression test post your numbers here !!----That picture above has choke plates in the carburetor !----Your 90 HP does not have choke plates.----You are looking at lousy information in the manual that you have !

This is a Type II. The repair manual says that the motor should have Type III.

What manual are you using ??-----Post a picture of your manual !-----I say that the carburetors with the black plastic bowls are correct for your motor.-----End of the story.

The parts picture shows a crburetor with choke plates.-----Those were last used in 1979.-----They may have been installed due to issues with plastic bowls warping.-----Have to run out and do some work in the garden.----A better return for my time.

Somebody did not like the plastic bowls or had no idea how an electric primer works.----Or wanted a bigger bore carburetor for the 90 HP-----This led them to install these type II carburetors.----Should be easy to find a set of type III as they are all over E-bay.

The carb in the photograph from the OP is definitely NOT a type 2, that is a type three.

The dead giveaway even if someone somehow jerry rigged the plastic carb bowI onto the carb, is that you can see the primer solenoid fuel inlet barb on the back of the carb body that bolts up against the intake manifold.

99.99999% certain that there were no OEM carbs of the type 2 carbs that had the primer solenoid setup instead of choke butterflies.

Your intermediate jets are in the carb bowl vertically, you have to remove the carb bowl to service/replace them.
The main/high speed jets are the horizontal ones that are removed/installed on the outside of the carb
