I have some questions about trolling motor current draw on a pontoon boat. I have an 18 foot toon that I'm building from the logs up. I am looking at putting a Minn Kota 55lb terrova with i-pilot on it. I found someone on the internet that has the same motor and they posted current draws that they logged while using the motor. At speed setting 5 in calm sea no wind he was drawing 8.40 Amps. I plan on using the motor at half throttle for 5 hours a day. This should be 42 amp hours total. Correct so far? I will also have a stereo running during this time. I have run my own tests on the stereo figure 2.5 amps for the stereo at a very loud volume which it won't be used at but just to be safe that's my figure. So that's an extra 12.5 amps. That's a total of 54.5 amps that need to be replaced each day to the battery correct?
