Went over there, didn't see any Sea Nymph thread.

Went to the restoration/rebuild forum? What Sea Nymph topic were you looking for?

Watermann's rebuild is listed in his signature line:
1978 SeaNymph SS160 Restoration

You don't have to post to a Sea Nymph forum or existing topic to document yours. Just start a topic about your boat in the
Boat Restoration, Building, and Hull Repair forum

Also wondering if anyone can confirm that the weight of the 1995 195GLS is 1050lbs. I have a 1995 150 HP Johnson on it and would like to know the weight of it also. Thanks

:welcome: to the iboats forum.

The weight of your boat can only go up from the listed dry weight of 1050. Your Yamaha 150 would weigh in at around 410 Lbs dry according t o NADA specs.

You're not going to easily find any owners manuals for a 20 year old SN and if you did it would be disappointing as they lack any real content.

So how about posting up a pic of your big ole 195 please!

reholmans,

Congrats on the 195GLS, I have same but a 1989 vintage. They are a great boat. I have not found a manual either as was already mentioned hard to find and would most likely be disappointing.

Hey that looks like a nice little cozy top setup on your SN. Oh man it looks rainy there so I bet that cover comes in handy often.

Hi, I just bought a 86 12R with a 81 Johnson 9.9. I like it, seems to be a good solid boat. Can anyone tell a little history on Sea Nymph. How long were they in business, what happened to them?

A rear corner cast alum plate has the handle broken off. Any suggestions on how to fix it or replace it would be appreciated.

Thanks, Jd

:welcome: to the iboats forum natureboy,
Lowe Boats is the parent company of Sea Nymph Boats
which was established in 1946.

The end caps are a tough one to find replacements for, sometimes they come up on Ebay.

I bought a 1974 Sea Nymph 14A Cartopper last month. It needed some work but it has become a real fishing machine. I had to re-attach both rear corner braces, one had to be welded by a local welding shop before putting it back on the boat. I had to re-attach the front bow plate, (not the bow casting with the handles), I ordered a bow casting with handles for a 12ft smokercraft that should fit. I have the piece at home, waiting to be installed. The original bow casting is missing the left handle and center ring (broken off somehow). I power it with a 1996 Evinrude 3.3hp 2 stroke. I added a 40# trolling motor, a size 24 battery and a Humminbird Helix 5 DI GPS fish finder, and 1/4" rubber stall mat on the floor between the bench seats. Also added 4 velcro straps for rod holders and 2 Scotty rod holders for trolling. I put a new transom board on, using 3/4" marine plywood, and added an anchor pulley. It still needs some work, and I will try to post some pics. I love this boat, no leaks, and handles the 1 foot chop real well. SN1.jpg

:welcome: to iboats Todd,

That's great to see someone take an old SN and make her right after years of being mistreated. I do love the nice curvy bum on the older models :eyebrows:

Thanks Watermann! This is a great forum, loaded with useful information by diehard SN fanatics. It's a great way to showcase the history of a great boat company that should have never stopped making boats.

Yeah under the SN name they no longer exist but Lowe Boats is the parent company of Sea Nymph Boats which was established in 1946. You can still find the Lowe going strong building all sorts of things besides boats.

I think I'm suffering from a bad case of SeaNymphitis... I just bought a 1987 Striper CC191 yesterday. Going to pick it up today. 90HP evinrude V4, 2 Canon downriggers, 2 fish finders, marine radio, outriggers, ready to fish. All it needs is a good bath and run the cobb webbs out of it. It has sat for 2 years, but everything looks good, the engine is smooth. It will be my Lake Ontario boat, and I'm naming her Fishology.

Hi everybody, I just joined the ranks of Sea Nymph owners. I bought an '86 Sea Nymph 19' with a 90 hp. (I think 1987 or 1988) Evinrude. I think it is either a SS195BL Fish & Ski or a SS195BR Fish & Ski. I don't know how to tell the difference and the data plate is too faded to make out. I live in Central Florida and would like to add a kicker motor as a back up before taking it offshore. Any info on the size kicker motor needed and mounting options would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the family! Hopefully someone will be along soon that can help with your question. In the meantime try to attach some pictures so we can see what she looks like. Pictures always help, and we like pictures of Sea Nymph boats :D

My 19ft Striper cc191 had a kicker motor at one time. I think it was an 8hp motor but it was removed before I ever saw it mounted. I want to add a kicker motor so I can troll in Lake Ontario.
