This one has been driving me absolutely crazy for about 3 days. No one bid until last night, that snapped me out of it. Compression is good. Tilt doesn't work, but thats fixable. Anyone think that may be corrosion in the bottom paint?

no...... corrosion on an aluminum boat wont be orange!!!!!!!! it will be white powder!!!!..... that discoloration is nothing more than staining from sitting in water for an extended period...as if it was moored or docked for the summer.......don't worry about that!!

for a second, I thought that it was a well-maintained boat.

look closer...peeling/delaminating paint and it still has the rotten transom pad (Bottom notch prep).

That said, it's a V5 with a 140 'Rude

I have a soft spot in my heart for both of these vintage makes...not bottom-feeder prices but they sure are cool!

'72 Sunbird with an early-80's 35Hp 'Rude...bombproof motor.

I figured water stain. Never hurts to get experienced input. A few days ago I came across one posted online where the guy used the wrong bottom paint, it looked very similar and had holes through the hull after paint removal.

I seen that paint and pad. Looks like someone removed a kicker bracket and left monster silicone holes in the transom. That 140 would mover her across the water.

Rawhide Ranch will probably have another StarCraft to bid on tomorrow.
