you will get it right.
just go get a new thermostat, the one that is too cool is the bad one. I think this will cure your problem. ( I hope so )

just one more thing that can sometime cause over heating on one side of the omc v4. ( dont think this is your problem but worth a mention)
Look at the top of the block under the lifting eye, this little cover is the area that the water goes up to before going down into the heads.
I have seen on these before where an old piece of broken impeller has got lodged in one side hole and stopped the normal flow of water getting to the one
hot side of the engine.
it could also be a build up of limescale in there too ? just a thought , as this are is nearly always over looked when over heating troubles on the v4 occur.
its part number 43 on this diagram below.

always worth remembering especially if an impeller has broken up and a bit is missing !!!!

i will try switch the thermostats to diffrent sides, see if it makes a diffrerence.
