Kind of the opposite of Musky's and more like the dropped anchor.

WIMSUKY, I live near an air force base and I love seeing the F15's perform their test flights daily around us. It is like an air show every day. I really love hearing the rear engine afterburner cones opening and closing when they come over. I never get tire of hearing freedom!

There's an airbase in Duluth, Mn. I love seeing them fly around when I head up there, even the big ol' transports. Neat stuff... I too love the powerful roar of freedom......

All I get are C-130s lumbering over about 1500 feet up, I must be under the test flight path from Lockheed Martin. And plenty of contrails from Hartsfield-Jackson.

Robins AFB is really close to where I live and between C17's, C130's F15's, C5's and a lot of helicopters, I see lots of aircraft daily. But by far the F15's are the best. When you see them streak across the sky and don't even hear them until after they are near about gone, it makes you wonder how fast they can strike and be gone before the enemy even realizes what's happening. I never get tired of them either! You can always tell a C5 because they look like they are near about stopped in the sky. And they are huge. I did a lot of programming work in the cockpits of the C5 in my days. Just sitting in the cockpit you are about 45 feet off the ground.

15s are cool birds ... especially for being such an old airframe.

We get a lot of the airplanes headed down to you at Warner Robins and at Dobbins too as they stop in at Nashville or Smyrna. We see all kinds of stuff: lots of 17s and 130s, but also F18, 16 and 15s.
