I'm running a 1548 Weldbilt tall transom with a 25 Tohatsu long shaft 4 stroke, with factory tilt and trim and a CMC BA130. I have them raised up as far as I can go, and I am still 2 inches below the bottom of the transom. With the motor trimmed all the way down it sprays water badly, when I trim it up a little the boat starts to hop. Batteries are sitting in the front of the boat to help with weight. I want to raise the motor but I don't want to add to the setback(short arms). Also it needs to be stout, I run in shallow water with stumps and logs present.
