Robbed this off the drag car to try. Set initial timing to factory spec and this will pull up to 3 deg per pound.
aiming to re install my 10psi pulley without top end detonation.

The charger wine is ear piercing loud lol. For what I'm using it for I love it. The engine compartment has never been sealed up good on this boat. I'm sure I could quiet things with some insulation

Boats all winterized till spring. Brought it up to 50mph one last lap around the lake. Seemed to perform same as having 3 ppl to one guy.
I think I'm pushing the engine a fair bit past its peak hp curve. Falls off after 47mph or so.
Plan is for spring time to do a 21p prop and I would like to see it at 10 psi.
Or maybe pick up a 19 stainless and just lift a little when it's to max rpm

Rpm.... Well allot. Tough to put an exact number on it due to glitchy tach.
All speed runs have been gps. Speedo isn't to far off. Maybe 3mph either way depending on which way I go on the lake.
50 mph was my goal. I'm not sure just how far this engine will hold.
Starting to warm up outside. Will have to get it back in the shop.
Plans are to fab up a auto tension settup for the serp belt.
Like to quiet the intake. Maybe a rubberized coating.
Occasionally the engine will flood on startup. It would be nice to have a electronic fuel shutoff valve. The temporary solution was vice grips on the fuel feed line. Effective but crude.
In general going to try making it a bit more user friendly.

To the top!! Love the build!!

Did you drill your two pilot jets or the singular large jet on the bottom? What size orifice would you guess they are now?

Aside from the timing retard box, id suggest some studs to keep the HG in place!! You singularly proved this engine is a beast despite the naysayers!!
