I've searched and can't find any FAR or straight up How-To for winterizing my motor. (I don't have a manual) I would have figured we'd have some info on that here. Somebody showed me how on my first boat, 18 years ago - I have a decent idea - but with winter coming for many boaters, I expected a lot more dicussion on this subject here? anybody?

Re: any FAQ for motor winterizing?

Pretty simple:
a) Change gear oil
b) Grease all fittings
c) Fog out with fogging oil - I've always run dry of fuel, but not all do that & don't do this if DI motor
d) Spray powerhead with WD40 or something similar
e) Store vertically
f) Every few years or 300 hours in clean water, change entire water pump
g) Replace thermostats when doing water pump service

Some knock themselves out, like changing sparkplugs (the most frequent unnecessary replaced part), etc., etc.
