My garage is heated so I had no probs getting the resin to cure. I chose poly because the boat originally was poly and I knew it would stick better. Also because it was cheaper.

As far as being experienced... I make it look that way.... LOL!!! I just do tons of reading and learn just how to do it and jump right in.

I've got an idea for the doner!

Put the cap back on, cut the hull at the water line, and place it neatly in the front yard

Have a deck? put it by the deck and add a dock line too.

Kinda red neck huh?

if you cut it up small enough, sell the pieces as "Frisco's Superior Fire starter kindling" on CL Im sure that old fiberglass would burn real nice!

Hey folks,
I'll bet you could cut it the way Mountain_Man suggested with only 2-4 blades. That should make your HOA stand up and take notice.
That fiberglass will burn but the glass it's-self will not. or should I say it didn't.
I really hope that old boat finds a home.

Well it looks like the boat is not going to sell. I called my local dump and it will cost me $31.00 to dump it. Considering how much I have made in parts on eBay... I think it is worth it. Is there a market for a used belly tank?

If the tank is Aluminum you can list it on CL and get something for it. I think I have seen them listed for around $35 or so, depending on the size.
Sorry to hear it's fate. But it is what it is.
How's the main boat coming?

I need to get it back on the trailer and start on the engine. One I have the space back in the garage i can sand down the outdrive and paint it.

Have you tried listing the boat for free? People will take almost anything if it's free. Trust me.

I would think there would be a market for the belly tank.

You might be amazed at the free ad. I live on an acerage, and I'm amazed at what people will stop and pick up.....big trash day is always interesting! Don't mention sanding... my fingers are killing me Looking forward to the updates!

I am kind of in the market for one since the factory or whoever did the last floor repacement shot staples through the poly one in my boat. can you get some measurements on it?

Haha, I thought so. People will take anything for free. You should have seen some of the sh!t my dad got people to take when he was having his yard sale. You'll probably have some no-shows so don't take the ad down till it's gone and don't bother holding it for anyone for more than an hour or two.

I tried to sell a parts car on CL once after I took the engine out of it. I was trying to sell it for 150 bucks and no one called or emailed. I then listed it for free just to get rid of it and I was flooded with emails. One guy called me and wanted the car and asked me to hold it for him. I told him first come first serve. He then offered me 100 bucks to hold it and He would be there in 1 hour. He showed and I made 100 bucks. I think its just more people monitor the free section of CL than many of the other categories...
