It's a Chevy 350 V8 engine, the MOST used V8 in boating history.
It's also TBI, supplied by GM to both Volvo, Mercruiser, and several other smaller marinizers. That same basic TBI systems was used in many years of automotive applications.

As Don said, it's a good engine. However, these engines are eleven years old and can be in great shape or can be junk depending on the care and maintainence they have received.

You should be more concerned about evaluating the current condition of the engine(s), than anything else.

What would the daily, hourly cost of gas,at a crusing speed of 20-30 mph, should I expect with this type of engine.

A "ballpark figure" would suffice.

I'am new to boating,

Ayuh,...

These Questions belong up in the General Boating forum,....
As these are pretty General Questions....

We deal with the actual Turning of the nuts,+ bolts that make these things Burn the gas,..
Not how much it'll take to get where you're headed....

You're going to burn in the neighborhood of 8-9 GPH (gallons per hour) at cruising speed. Between 3-4 MPG (miles per gallon).
