im wanting to go thru hull with my exhaust since im missing parts to the y pipe anyways but i dont know where my waterline is just floating, so does anybody know if this would be too low as its the same model exept i want to do straight cut tips with internal flappers and external flappers as well to keep water out. any help would be great. Since this is an uncommon boat i cant find any info.

I recently found out that my Cheetah 166 has a twin out there manufactured under the name "Marquis Riviera". I'm guessing the manufacturer had two lines own boats because the hulls are dead on. Try looking for Marquis boats for more possible examples.

Re: 1989 Cheetah 210es restore - not looking forward to this

since it has been so long since I have done any update at all here we go with a few things

I eventually got to the point of needing a good air compressor to keep up with my sander and a place to get the boat off of the trailer so off to my dads shop it went.
0F9B09CD-B788-47F5-9918-6F22AABAD26E-1217-000000BBB30CCA52.jpg

once there we just worked under the barn lean too until it was time to come off the trailer we got it all sanded down fixed some cracks and got a little primekote on as well as mounted pull up cleats
5FB4091C-9289-4966-9608-98D0E929C6DD-1120-0000009F896C744A.jpg

then it was off the trailer it came, a lot easier than i thought it would have been, now time to fix the cracks from the bottom side now from the rot where it flexed on the bunks in a few spots, it really sucks glassing upside down BTW

and that's about where were at as far as the boat goes we had a solid month of 100+ degrees and we just got burned out on the project but its cooling off now so about time to get back on it here soon. but in the meantime we have worked on the trailer when we had the time and cut some of the wood for the interior and took it to the upholstery guy

once i started grinding the cracked tip of the bow away there was no saving it so i just cut it off and rebuilt it with some 1708 and some 1.5 csm came out fairly good once i used a little gelcoat and did a final sand you cant even tell now

Wow! That's all I can say. I can barely keep up with my house and boat, much less adding all those other projects.

Boat looks great - can't wait to see the finished product!

Thanks and yea it is a lot of work but i work on one until I'm burnt out or finished then switch to another one to keep me from getting burnt out and giving up on it. and what happened to this place its like a ghost town or is it still warm in some places so everyone is still outside, its currently 45degrees here and I'm not too thrilled about it, but it means more time in the garage and less time playing with toys.

Re: 1989 Cheetah 210es restore - not looking forward to this

I have had no motivation to work on the boat lately but the trailer is finally done with new bushings, bolts, bunks, brake actuator and lines, etc. If my back starts to feel better soon ill get back on the boat so i can get it back on a trailer soon and hopefully it might get me motivated to get it done this season. only thing left on the trailer is get a spare and powder coat the wheels satin black, but i can at least pull it again finally.

I also finally put a leveling kit on my fummins, now to get my other wheels powder coated for it and build my bumpers and it will look a lot better as well.

also what kind of paint has everyone used on their aluminum window frames? their satin/matte black but typical scuffs and chipping so they need repainted
