I'm with you on late 60's. I'm wondering if Thompson made anything that small? The stripe on the side looks kinda' Thompson-ish.

Going to be very difficult to ID. There were literally hundred of companies making small closed bow fiberglass runabouts like that in the 50s and 60s with some only making a handful of boats.

... boat has no title and I can't find the HIN # ...

Oh, Ohhhh!

Don't put any more money into it until you get that straighten out.

Or you may just end up with a very expensive fiberglass Planter Box for the Back Yard!

The OP didn't specify the state he is located in. The requirements are different from state to state. I agree that the first step would be to find out what is necessary for the state the boat will be registered in. Many states, such as mine don't title boats and a Bill of Sale is all that is needed. HIN's were only required after November 1, 1972, so it's doubtful this boat has one. The states have ways to deal with this as well.

No argument here! :)

But knowing the rules for your state and being in compliance is never bad advice.
Hopefully he is in Kansas! :D

...it's hard to tell looking at the photos....on my computer they are very small, but it kinda looks like a Starcraft to me as well.
