lower unit frozen

Dear friends,
I have a 55 hp Evinrude outboard with the lower unit frozen.
I need to get it fixed or repaired ...which is most cost effective

Is it frozen from storage or locked up from an internal failure?

If frozen from storage, drain oil and fill with PB Blast. Let set for a few days. work prop back and forth until free. refill with proper oil.

Well repaired would fix it, :p

the yr is important when seeking used parts.
What yr is it?​

If it is frozen from sitting with water in it, it is garbage. Look for a replacement unit. Or a replacement motor.
