Took the MFG out on the river for the first time in almost two years. I tell you after 5 years of owning this boat. It is now officially the best boat I've ever owned. $25.00 in fuel 8 hours of fun in the sun and always brings me back to home port. Could you ask for any thing more from a 50 year...
Swapping a 260HP 5.0L for a 205 HP 4.3L running the stock AQ-280 Out Drive?
This is in a 24' Bayliner about 5,000 LBS Is this 4.3 going to be a complete dog or will it work out well with the correct wheel?
Don't care about the speed only power at low RPMs and MPGs.

Primary Shaft service info needed.
I'm re-powering my boat and going thru the entire drive. The only thing not covered in any of my manuals is the "Primary Drive Shaft" I have all bearing, seals, and snap rings, along with the two major assembly seals.
Any info on how to break down and replace...
Where is everyone buying AQ-280 Drive Parts.
I have a late 70's AQ-280 Out Drive on my 24' Bayliner w/a 5.0gm 260B.
I've had a hard time finding places to buy parts on line.
The places that are on line seem a little over priced.
Or is a Volvo Dealer the best way to go.
Thanks for any info...

Looks like a good deal!
I've had this Taylor Made windshield I picked up a few years ago for free with the intention of putting it on the MFG. I was so use to running with out a windshield I just never got around to it. So today I mounted it up and I tell you it changed the whole look of the boat.
What do you guys think?
Found this Boat for free on Craigslist in my Home Town of Haverhill, MA. Came with a clear Mass. Title but no trailer. After looking for a trailer to buy or use for a few days I decided to build one out of an old 5th wheel camper frame I've had for a few years.
Went through the out drive today...
so last week I was looking at Craigslist (yes I know not a good idea for a boat aholic) and came across a Free 24' Bayliner in my home town. I went and checked it ou and fell in love. I know I said no more big boats after selling the Grady White but hay it was free, But it had no trailer. I of...

1963 Big Twin 40 HP Fuel Problem.
I picked this boat up at the beginning of the year and it's been a slow summer long rebuild project.

Found My HIN# Now I need to verify Year & Model!
"Serial S9 No 4126"
Found this under a thin layer of paint on the inside of the transom up under the splash well.

The motor on the boat is...
