I have an omc stringer w/ chevy 5.7 liter w/ 300 hrs. It needs a shift cable. In working order the boat maybe worth 2500 $ . Am I better off parting it out ?

I have a 86 stringer strong Chevy 350 .. Can i use this engine for a inboard replacement such as a nautique 2001 ? Can i use the chevy to replace a ford 351? (complete inboard )

I have a stringer 800 (1985) When I open the lower (bottom one ) unit oil It was full of water. the seal on the plug was gone so I replaced it and drained and changed the oil. the upper half seemed good. Is there any seals that could let water in ? Are they easily changed ? or do I have to take...
I have an 86' dual axel trailer w./ I think surge brakes . The problem is the trailer push forward but I do not think the brakes are working it really seems to push my old truck (76') . Any way of testing the brakes on the trailer or working them over thaey are drum brakes from what I can tell.

Ok I winterized my OMC stringer 5.7 liter should I pull the coil wire and turn it over once in a while or just leave it alone?
Also the points seem to be running fine should I replace them and the condenser?

I posted before and got help with this butt.. Stringer 800 ... I can shift into gear easy. It is difficult to get out and into neutral and easy to past neutral and into reverse. Could this be the ESA and how would i find out ? where is the ESA ?
