    1996 Mercruiser won't stay Running without Choke Fully Closed

    Good morning to all! I have tried TWO different Q Jets and have the same result. The engine will not stay running without a finger holding the choke fully closed. I am at my wits end. It ran last week on muffs fine for 10 minutes.

    Rochester Compatibility Question

    I have a 1994 Merc 350 Magnum with original Quadrajet. Will a Quad from a 2003 work on my intake? Mine needs a rebuild but I found one that was JUST rebuilt - it would be good to have a spare on the shelf. Thanks

    350 Magnum Issue..??

    Just installed a 1994 Magnum and ran it today. Hasn't been run in a boat for a couple of months - just in the shop. Getting some smoke from the port side valve cover. Doesn't smell like it's burning. Cause for concern?

    Quadrajet Spacer..............???

    Any reason (HP wise) I would want to put one on? I have a 350 Magnum but the intake man was replaced with the normal 5.7 type, thus eliminating the extra "rise" for the carb. It's a 1994 engine I'm just curious.

    Prop Hub Question

    Alpha Gen 2 outdrive. Had an aluminum Quicksilver (17p). Got my hands on a SS 19p to try but the hub is brass and cannot be removed, thus, there is WAY too much play on the shaft with the nut fully tightened. Do I need an "aft washer" or is there a spacer for this type of hub? Thanks

    Hot water appears to be coming from behind the port side motor mount. Is there a freeze plug in that location or do I have a cracked block?
