    Tilt&trim leaking down

    1987 50hp Evinrude (E50TLCUD). Raises and lowers just fine. Is there a one way valve that can be cleaned/replaced? I can't find a kit for it on Iboats. What kind of fluid does it use? Thanks Chris

    Electric tilt/trim question

    1987 Evinrude 50 hp. Tilt leaks down, other than that, it raises and lowers just fine. Where to start? Is the backflow valve something that can be removed and cleaned, then replace the fluid? What kind of fuid to use? Thanks for the help. Chris

    1987 50 hp rough idle

    Model E50TLCUD, low hours (less than 100). VRO has been bypassed. Runs about 3 times a year. We took it out Monday ran a wot for at least 20 min, it cut out a couple of times after hitting some rough water. It idles rough now. Checked fuel output from the pump while cranking...good Sprayed...

    Battery replacement

    Single battery system, 115hp Johnson, Depth finder/gps, VHF, AM/FM, and running lights. No trolling motor. My Deka 24M5 Marine Master battery shows an open cell. What type should I replace it with? Would a dual purpose work better here, or just go back with another starting battery? Thanks...

    Lowrance LMS480 Which maps to buy?

    Fishing at a NC/VA local lake and at the NC coast. Which maps offer the best coverage? Is there one chip that covers both areas? I spoke to navionics, they said Hotmaps premium for the lakes and Navionics Gold XL for the coast. Anyone used these maps?<br /><br /><br />Chris

    New Icom302 DSC

    I just got the ICOM hooked up to the Lowrance LMS480. Looks like my postiton is scrolling across the radio screen. I have put in my MMSI number. Is there an acceptable way to test the system?     Small hole in LU

    2005 Johnson 2S 115Hp. While flushing , I noticed a small hole just above and in front of the water intake. Water shoots out of it while on the muffs. Looks designed that way. Anyone know why its there?
