Hello I have a 1998 mercruiser alpha drive 4.3 liter carburated my fuel pump went out and a new one is $300 and they have to order it. Is there a chance a local parts store can cross reference the little electric pump for my motor?
I am in central Illinois and would need a good used 4.3 V-6 vortec. If anyone knows of one please let me know.
PS what would be a good buy on one if I find one?
I have a 1998 searay 270 sundancer with a macerator and a vacuflush head. I had girls on it this weekend and I think the toilet paper clogged it. I got the bowl full of water and it will not go down at all.
My 1998 4.3 v-6 was winterized by "---- EDIT----" Ryan the owner. He was upset that he had to pull the boat out of winter storage this February after I purchased it from the owner off of Ebay. Ryan had to move other non winterized boats out of storage to get to my 1998 270 Sea Ray Sundancer...
I have twin 1998 alpha drives on my boat. One drive all the sudden will not go down. I was able to get it to up with the trailer button but not down? If I use the trim button on my shifter it makes the noise like it is working but it will not go down at all.
Any tips please.
The power trim stopped working on my 1990 omc 4.3 cobra. I took all apart and cleaned the motor and put it all back together and now the motor works but it will not raise or lower the drive. Any idea's on how to get the system full of fluid im thinking that the system has alot of air in it. It...
I have power but no power trim. Never had any issues before just all the sudden. its a 1990 chaparral 2050 with a omc 4.3 liter. Any idea's? PS i tired to jump the contacts to see if there was a wiring issue no luck there.
I have a 1999 262 Monterey mostly off white in color. The original owner I dont think ever waxed it. So it looks kinda dull. I have wet sanded most of the top area's and then buffed it with mild compound it looks ok at best. Any other idea's before I tear into the sides and back.

I am curious when I grab the out drive when the boat is on the trailer and the trim is down how much should I be able to lift the drive up and down? I had my drive off recently and the bearing and all looked good just kinda curious why I have so much free play up and down movement!

I just got the boat and running all is well other than some fine tweaking. I have been seeing some wet spots where the drive bolts to the outdrive housing. Im thinkning of replacing the gasket and using some good goop with the gasket. any tipes here why it might be leaking?
