Morning Gang,

JaSla74, I know, I know, I need to kick it in gear dude!

Hey Ryan, pics of the cover on page 7, So happy for you being on the water dude!

I'm gonna post URL link so my pics will show up directly, instead of fingernail files. Eventually I'll edit this entire thread before I request to have it place into the finished resto forum. I'll test with some pics from yesterday.

Some big progress!

I may even test fire her today!!!!!!!

Yesterday I finished wiring/installing the stereo! And verified all electrical on house battery! all 100% !!!! Stereo kicks! Mark42 Thanks for the assist brutha!!!! I can almost smell the lake now!

Cuda has a ton more power than the Xterra for sure!

Finished posting URL's instead of fingernail links... All 640 x 480! That was fun!

I had to play a little catch up, but Im on par now. That cover looks freaing amazing, what was the ticket on that? Just curious.

So your almost there right? (only correct answer is yes)...:D

You have come an amazing way with her, and Im certain she appreciates it.

I know mine did.

So is it time to fire her up yet or what?

Hey Ryan,

Thanks for the kindness dude!

Didn't have time to fire her today... This week for sure!

I had a honey do list today, so all I got finished was cleaning up stern seats.

jse_boat_024.jpg

Attaching snap-on straps that hold cushion in place, and tested out charger... All is charging! And finally secured stern boxes with stainless L brackets.

Finally a shot of the front deck area.

Oh man, that is just gorgeous! I love the looks of the interior upholstery. I bet that stereo kicks. Glad to be of help with the wiring. Take it easy the first time out, want to hear everything went well.

Re: 1999 Bayliner Project

So this was a tad more than I wanted to spend, but since she's gonna be sitting outside, I figure this, along with a lock in the tongue will at least deter someone stealing her.

Hey Mark, Thanks dude! I really like how the interior looks also! The snap-in carpet is gonna look good.. I'm happy I when with white deck.

If all goes well, I hope to have her in the water next week!

Re: 1999 Bayliner Project

Holy crap that is a beautiful boat, now!

Sorry I haven't been posting lately, but I have been following along. I can't get over how perfect that boat looks. Is there even anything left to do in the future? If you ever sell that boat I'm having you committed :)

I haven't gotten anywhere on my boat.. stringers are still sitting in the hull waiting to be installed. For an unemployed bum, I sure can't seem to find time for anything fun.

Those jump seats certainly turned out nice. I like the SS brackets, they add a nice touch and probaby hide the carpet seam nicely, too. I just can't say how nice your boat turned out.. it's just plain bad-a**!

a tad more than I wanted to spend

I find it hilarious you are still saying that. I figured by this point you would just hand people your wallet all zombie-like.. "Take my money..." .. I know I have :(

Re: 1999 Bayliner Project

Gang,

Last Night was good...

I verified all electrical on both batteries. Even cranked the engine over... Installed blower and new vent duct hose....

I think I may fire her up tonight!

I'll take video!

Stuff left to do...

Mount Transducer.

Install Smart Tabs.

Install Bimini top

wax and polish outside of hull...

clean and install dog-house cover, and jump seat backrests.

Get required boating supplies from West Marine (life jackets, rope, fenders, anchors, first-aid kit, oar, etc)

GO BOATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Re: 1999 Bayliner Project

Trust me I won't forget the suds!

Decided to finish installing the interior instead of firing her up. Maybe tomorrow..

So here is the stern seating area completed.

Cleaning took forever... Xylene works well on stains, and dirt... Doesn't effect the vinyl...

Re: 1999 Bayliner Project

I gotta hand it to you bear. Your boat looks fantastic! Hell it looks brand new. Almost too pretty to get in.

You have a ton more patience than I do. I mounted my unfinished starboard panel, put one cushion in the bow, & took off just so I could get a taste of the water. It was great, only problem was that my family got a little itchy from the fiberglass that I failed to clean up:redface:.

Re: 1999 Bayliner Project

wow! I thought the same thing. I would want to get in it, I would constantly tell my guests to please ring themselves out on the ladder or better yet, just stay back there until we get back to the dock! Excellent work. What an inspiration...
