Re: Yamaha NADA guide question

Why are Yamaha "boats" considered PWC's in thier listings?

Because they know nada about them, of course! There's certainly nothing PWCish about 21 and 24 foot bowriders with 220 to 360 hp.

In the "real" NADA, which is the Commercial guide, listings for all craft are under the heading "Boats and Personal Watercraft".

I am guessing that NADA grouped ALL yamaha's products together in the Consumer edition so people could see ALL their products at a glance. I am guessing that if SeaRay made PWCs, they'd put them right alongside the bowriders and cruisers.

Wait a couple of months and we can see... Searay is releasing jet boats that compete directly with the yamaha's.
