yamaha 70 hp no spark

Help where to start. Today I was on my boat at cruising speed around 4000 rpm and suddenly my yamaha 70 1994. year just stop. After I removed motor cap I seen smoke from flywheel on top. After that I try to start it but whit no succeeds. I drag it home and try to see if there is spark and when I test there was not spark on any cylinder.
Where to start checking.
I am thinking on stator problem. If it is coil it would die one not all three at once.

Please any help would be god start.

You need to find out where the magic smoke came out of. A service manual and the proper test equipment will guide you through the steps to locate the problem, but from what you have said it is under the flywheel.
