I have my motor completely torn down and I am wondering if there is any reason I should remove the wrist pin and lubricate the bearings before I start reassembling? As far as I know there is nothing wrong with them. Should I just squirt some 2 stroke oil on them or will they get enough lubrication once the motor is working again (I guess I should say hopefully working again)?

It is a needle bearing. No need to disassemble, unless some dirt got in there while the piston/rod assembly was out of the motor. There is probably enough oil in there to start up the engine when assembled, but if it would make you feel better, drip some 2-stroke oil in there.

The service manuals say "Make no dry assemblies". That pretty much explains it. For the specific question at hand, I agree no need to take it apart without good reason. Squirt some oil on it and go with it.
