wood doors

Has anyone every built there own doors? like the bed room, all my doors were hollow core painted cheap junk. I wanted double sided raised panel mahogany doors on all the rooms.

sure you can build them just the same as building a raise panel cabinet door, just on a larger scale. good table saw, jointer, router table or shaper. do not glue the panel into the grooves in the door, they have to have room to expand and contract. if not they will crack. this will give you a good basis to start with.

Them's hatches going into cabins, Mike. Doors and bedrooms are in houses.

Norm Abrams builds raised panel hatches now and then, but he calls them doors, too, because he wants to put them in houses.

I have nine doors to replace I have built eight of them the last one I am not ready for yet it will have safety glass It will be the door coming from the top down into cabin It will only wood around on the rails and full length safety glass. It will be at least till the end of April until I need it.

I have my own web site with no junk on it just all about boating.

Even still thanks for sharing how you did your boat I haven't read all of it yet I know even that I have done a transom before I know I will learn from what you shared with all of us once again Thanks,,,
