Going to connect 2 identical batteries in Series to get to 24v for a trolling motor.

I have 8 gauge wire coming in from the female plug/receptacle.

I have 6 gauge to jump the batteries and to use for a 50 amp Rig Rite circuit breaker.

This breaker is the type that has the clamp to connect to the positive + of the open post and a post
for the inbound red from the trolling motor.

In Series, I will have open the + from battery A and the - from battery B

Q1:The old 12v setup still has an inline fuse on the POS. Is it OK to keep for redundancy, or remove?

Q2: A Guest 2610A 10 Amp Waterproof Battery Charger has two 12v outputs(red/black) and (red/black) and it appears one set can hooked to each battery + and - in a two battery Series connection. Agree?

Thanks

Here ya go! You don't need a fuse between the two batteries if that run of wire is very short. The main breaker is sufficient.
