I have a Four Winns 180 Horizon w/a Volvo Penta SX outdrive.
My first end of season for a Volvo, I have winterized several
Mercruiser Alphas, never an SX.
Could someone please advise or direct me to a site where i can find
out manufacturers recommended protocal for winterization and pics.
Manual says contact dealer, I'm assuming there are 2 water jackets that need to be drained(right side block?)
grease points,lower unit fluid,fogged etc
any help or suggestions greatly appreciated..thx

Re: Winterizing Volvo Penta SX?

Anytime you intend to work on your own boat you should have the factory service manuals. They save endless amounts of time and are crucial for the shade tree wrench. You've only touched on the winterizing procedure and you haven't mentioned if you have a closed or raw water cooling system.
