Winterizing Question

After reading several guides for winterizing my boat (1999 5 liter mercruiser alpha with carb) I cannot tell if
you should also drain the carburetor bowl. Is that recommended or not? I have started using fuel stabilizer year round beginning of last summer so the fuel is stabilized.

Best to leave the fuel in the carb. In my experience (I'm a marine tech) a dry carb causes more problems with plugged passages and other problems, that it's just not worth the effort.
