When is the decarb process complete?

I just finished decarbing my 70, 60HP Evinrude with seafoam in 3/4 tank of gas but is still smokes. At some point in the process, should the smoke decrease or stop when the motor is fully clean, or does seafoam just smoke? I don't think this motor has ever been decarbed. I noticed a marked increase in rpms, and smoother operation about eight minutes into the process. Question: Should I buy another can of Seafoam and do it again until it stops smoking?
Lenny

As long as you're running gas with seafoam in it, the engine will smoke more than usual. It should decrease as the carbon burns off, but the seafoam itself smokes when burned.

hope this helps!

Well, I've read that sometimes you need a second dose. Pull a plug and look for carbon on it, and if you can, shine a flashlight in the plug hole and see if things still look black. If so, run another tank through.
