What's the normal Carburetor Fuel PSI for an Alpha One Gen One 140hp Rochester 1985

I'm currently running a Carbole Super 12S electric fuel pump @5-9 PSI, and I think it may be too much fuel pressure. It accelerates and runs fine, until I shut it off and seems to flood out. What is the normal fuel pressure for my Merc 140HP A1 Gen1? Again, I think I may have too much fuel pressure. I'm thinking of getting a lower PSI fuel pump say 3.5 PSI, and would that be too little of an amount.

3-7 is normal range
If you are actually getting a higher pressure then might need to change or use a regulator. Might also be the float level needs to be adjusted or issue with float needle and seat

As ad mentioned just put a regulator on it to keep fuel pressure below 5 psi or so
