Whats diff in a 150 xr2 and reg 150??

?? Little confused my motor has xr2 cowling but my buddy thinks its thw regular 150??

The heads take the gasket model 150 18-3863 sirrea part # the heads are stamped 1-13583c

The Xr2 is a standard 150 with a 200 exhaust divider plate,200 exhaust tuner, spark advance box, decals and louvers on cowling. Makes about 10hp more than stock 150..

Iam new too the big motors so sry for dumb ?s but all my seriel numbers are gone on this motor i dont know if it was stolen or what i just bought it on my new boat is there iney way too tell from my pics if its the xr2 and my heads are ate up bad from salt water use so i have to have them resurfaced how long can the shop go without hurten the foot i think motor is all stock all cylinders have 150 psi

If I understand you correctly you can remove up to .025 with no problems

Yea thats what i meent sry i was driven its hard to type lol another quck ? I have merc mirage prop on my boat its 14" diam with a 17" picth its for big boat is what it says online is this a good prop for ski,tuben??

What type of boat and length? Whats it weigh? How many RPM does it turn at WOT?

Its a 92 pro craft ski&fish combo its 18ft long and shes a tank around 1,800-2,000 pounds its a very wide boat thats why i wanted it so i could do alot fishen on it but i also Wanna be able to pull the ladies when the summer kicks back off

First pic is were i think the aluminum tag is post be with the seriel # second pic is were date of of motor post be it says 120387 typed just like that and the third pic is of a circle on the top of the block right it says the b291715 i relly starten think this motor was stolen and the funny thing is i bought it from a state tropper lol i cant find a seriel # no where!

The welch plug stamped with b291715 is your s/n, looks like it's an 88, can't tell you if it's an xr2 or not, sure somebody else can chime in
