what years did omc produce the 235 hp outboards and will a 1989 150 lower unit work on a 235 or will 235 parts work on a 150

My aftermarket service manual indicates 79 through 85.
The manual only covers to 89.So if there is anything newer I don't know.

brp site also says 79-85 my seloc repair book says the same ezeke gave me a site to show which moter my lower unit will fit the 235 was not one of them
