This is my Starcraft i picked up 2 weeks ago, the gut said it was a 1974 and the engine was a 72. after researching the motor it is a 1970, I believe the boat to be earlier.

SM - How long and wide is she? Might be a Jet or JetStar. Or something all together different.

SM - take a look at these brochures in the Starcraft section. You might get to within a couple of years. I don't think 14' Holidays were made for a long time. If it's a '74 it should have a HIN on the transom.

It does look a lot like a Jet or Jet Star, but I'm not sure just what year those were made. The splashwell looks bigger than on the Jets. Check out the brochures GA mentioned above; you might also want to ask in the Starcraft forum listed in the "Owners Groups By Manufacturer" at the bottom of the main forum page. It could be a Holiday 14, they look similar to the Jets.

What info is on the capacity plate?

Both that boat and motor are from the 60's.

Is it fiberglass or aluminum? The engine looks very similar to my '64 and '65 Evinrudes.

Its aluminum and it matches the 1960,61 or 62 pictures on the brochures the guy said it was 74 and after learning more everyday I believe him to be mistaken, but sure was fun taking to the lake last sat for test runs and having people looking at asking questions. Motor definetly 70 got model number off data tag and getting parts for it. SME

Seeing the electric shift.......... make sure that works. The electric shift parts are rare and NOT cheap.

Electric shift is working well went on test runs last week, sheared keyway from drivshaft to flywheel but replaced last night, back online ready for second set of high speed runs.
