What year is this engine

Hello everyone from NewHampshire I have a chance to buy a used inline6 tower of power that has no spark to 3 cylinders is this a easy fix? also how can I tell the year of engine? The serial # is 6899477 Thanks for your help

It's 1985 90 or 115HP and there is probably a switch box gone bad but could be a stator. The way ti tellwithout a meter is disconnect the red wires at the one box and swap with the red/white on the other box, do the same with the blue and the blue/white wires and turn the engine over. If the spark problem stayon the same 3 cyls. it's the box and if it changes cyls it's the stator.

Thank you very much the guy wants 250.00 for the engine Im thinking great deal ? Also i want to put it on my 17 ft bowrider maxum boat will it be to heavy for the boat? Im new at all this boat stuff but learning lol the boat had a 85 hp on it & this one im looking at is a 90 hp.Thanks for the advise
