I am new to the forum and boating. I bought this as a 1974 and know that is wrong the HIN is only 6 digits. Came with a bunch of stuff. I got the oversized motor running and replaced the impeller and lower-unit fluid. Should I be concerned that the hull rating says 100hp when a 120 is on it ? The motor was bought new in 94 and installed by a marina on the coast.

It measures 15-6", almost would think it could be a shawnee, but its not a bow-rider.

Based on the serial number and the step up to the bow section deck, I think that it is a 69 model. I have a 69 Thunderbird Seminole (17') bowrider.

We don't advocate overpowering here. However, since you acquired the boat this way, I wouldn't sweat it much. Especially because that 120 is a real gem of a motor and I'd hate to see you swap it out for something lesser. A 100 is also typically a 4 cylinder motor so the weight difference is none. Good luck with your new boat and welcome to the forum.
