What Should my WOT be?

Im the new owner of a 1989 Celebrity 181, it has V6 4.3 Alpha-one drive (175HP) what should my WOT be running at and what speed should i expect Thanks

Ayuh,...

WOT, rpms should be around 4400/ 4800rpms...
Speeds will be whatever it's capable of with whatever prop you're running...

What about my 1971 Gulfstream 165 I/L6, the RPM won't go higher then 31-3300 if I push it anymore it starts backfiring. But it will run fine all day in that range.

Ayuh,... 4200/ 4400rpms,...

Change the Fuel Filters,... If that don't fix it,.. Rebuild or replace the Carb...

Changed the fuel pump, filter and lines. Before that I ran the boat until it ran out of gas to get all the old gas out, and then changed all that stuff. I'm looking for replacement carb.

could be moisture in the tank causing the back firing, did you run it with fresh gas?
