What Now

I have a J6RLEU that won't start, even after 15 pulls, unless I squirt a syringe full of fuel directly into the carb. The motor has 100 psi in both cylinders; I have done the procedures in the "hard start" FAQ's. I have rebuilt the carb; checked the spark; synch & link; set the low speed valve per Mr. Reeves; checked the fuel supply by disconnecting the hose at the carb and squeezing the bulb; and checked that the choke closed properly.
Once started, the motor runs beautifully; and restarts with 1 pull for about ? hour; and then it won't start without the syringe. What can I do next?

Re: What Now

Sounds like your choke isn't working. Have you checked that it closes completely.

Sorry I re-read your post and see you have checked the choke.

Not to be sorry. You may be right. Tomorrow, I'll remove the intake silencer and
and try again.

Re: What Now

It was the choke. It was held open about .020 by a long round head screw.
The carb floatbowl is attached with 7 screws; 2 of which are a little longer to attach the choke bellcrank bracket. I switched screws, and the choke closes completely.
The motor now starts cold on the 3rd. pull every time.
