Okay, obviously it's a leak, it's just that I don't know the 1st thing about outboard motors and thought before I "blindly"tear it apart that I would ask a few questions 1st. You know...."measure twice cut once" kind of thing. Anyway, although I have never worked on an outboard I have been working on my own truck and cars for 30 years so I am not new to tools etc. I just need a good starting point. Don't know how much info. you need on the motor but I hope it's not much because I don't know much about it. I believe it's a 96', It's a Mercury, 8HP 2 Stroke and that's about all I know. With my lack of knowledge I'm guessing water is getting in somewhere it shouldn't and that's why the milky looking color. Probably means a bad seal or what have you but I'd like some expert input please. Thanks very much in advance.
