I'm just curious what the boating community is made up of.

Anyone? Oh...me...I'll go first.

My husband and I help people with their ideas for inventions. I manage the calander, he meets with them. I'll soon be purchasing hardware/software to operate my own Client Contact business.

I create my schedule, therefore, I can go boating whenever I like.:D (for instance.....I'll be on the water at 1:00 today (it's Friday!)

Who's next?

Well Tammy I see that you have dumped your hubby's avatar. You trolling alone now, or will we see Tim sometime? :D

Anyway, I sell Natural Gas fuel systems for heavy trucks and mega catalytic converters (we say catalysts because we are cool) for mega engines, 400 - 8000+ horsepower.

Jeepers.....why can't anyone just realize that I'm a chick that likes to go boating.

If I were a guy...nobody would say anything.

My husband is still on my profile pic. I'll change it back .........

I now manage my investment portfolio. Mainly focused on energy/pharmaceutical/banking sectors.

My ability to now do what I enjoy most was spawned by stumbling upon a vegetation killer (herbicide for established lawn) that is 100% effective, fairly environmentally benign, and hugely cost affective to produce.

Happy Days,

pjc:D

Re: What does everyone do for a living?

Did some commercial fishing with the family when I was real young and in school and did the fishing in the summers during school vacations.Kept a federal fishing license.

After severing my country, I went to work in the construction industry. Started my own home building and remodeling company and was very successful doing, retiring at 55. Still did some tinkering with my commercial fishing and started my Cape Ann Fishing Charters business.

And now I'm working for the wife who has been in real estate for 30 years, and I the last 2 years, should have gotten into it 40 years ago. This business goes very well with my charter business since the invention of cell phones. I do a lot of my business while fishing, "U R just a phone call away."

Didn't make it out the door yet. QC called me and confessed that he keeps bringing up the purse issue because he wears ladies panties and would love to show his feminine side on the outside.....but his chest hairs get in the way.:D:p

The phone snagged me. I'm now trying to get a crew together for a late day cocktail cruise down to Caps (on the intracoastal in St. Augustine, FL)

Do you werk for INVENT-TECH.
If so, small world, and we may be doin more buisness soon, as I've purchased the portfolio and just need to recoup financially from the wife's surgey before I ivest any more into the "valve box boot" patent.

The wife is a caregiver for an old couple, and a PBX operator for a hosptial.
I werk for an engineering firm as a certified utility inspector. WE provide QC for contruction werk (I do the underground part).

I'm in for the cocktail cruise. I'm a retired drinking consultant and sometimes hire out as a designated driver for woman that party, but business is slow.

Re: What does everyone do for a living?

I had three different careers.

U.S. Navy. Avionics, Flight Radio, passive recon (spy :) ), Instructor.

Hi-tech industry. Training Specialist/Tech Writer, Training Manager and Management Development Specialist.

Private Tech Colleges. Teacher, Course Developer, Dept Head, Director and Dean.

Now? Oh, I do very little. . . slowly. Except, of course, moderate here. :)
