I know this isn't a classic wood Chris. However the 79 Cutlass has classic lines.
My question is this. If I restore it to original, that means replacing the wood bulk heads, louver door and side panels.
If I want the boat to be practical I can replace this wood with Starboard, and the project would be done for life. I would keep all the teak intact.
I also would change the color of the hull to a soft blue, and keep the topside an original oyster white.
Would this turn off any potential buyers later on? Or would they look at this as improving the "breed".
This boat is in Florida and the sun and salt are a major up keep issue.
Thanks for your thoughts.
