Welch Plugs?

Hi All,

Just rebuilt the carbs on my '87 115hp inine 6. It has the WMK carbs. Prior to getting the rebuild kits in the mail, I had already disassembled the carbs and pulled out the welch plugs.
To my surprise, the kits I got from iboats didn;t include new welch plugs! The old ones are pretty chewed up, so I can;t reuse them. Does anyone have any ideas for makeshift welch plugs? Possibly a washer with a good coating of gasket maker on it?
It's funny that a part that would cost all of $0.03 is holding me up

Been a few people caught with that. The welsh plugs only come in the OEM repair kit. Apparently the aftermarket kits don't have them.

Welch plugs are available...its just going to cost you some time now! Your going to have to do some homework...determine what size you need and go google welch plugs...Won't be from Mercury...but they are available...
