Hello:

I was wondering what the weight difference is between the inline 6 Merc's and the V-6 135hp?

Other than Craig's List. WHat is a good web site to shop for used outboards (Mercury V-6 135/150)

Thanks for your help.

The weight difference is 150# or a bit less. An inline six is 300#. The V6 motors are 450# or there abouts. The 135HPV6 motors and early 150HPV6 motors are 2.0L displacement. Newer 150HPV6 are 2.4/2.5L and likely a bit heavier.

Actually the 2.0 litre motors are heavier. They have a lot of cast iron that is cast in with the block. Close to 20lbs heavier.

The performance diff is huge. Go with the 135 if possible.
