I've got a pair of 70 hp Yamaha 2-strokes. Starboard engine runs great. Port engine had water in the spin-on fuel filter, so I replaced and drained the tank. Now with fresh premium fuel, it barely starts... only with engine-start spray and will not idle (stalls). I've sprayed carb cleaner thru the carbs, but no dice. Even replaced the primer bulb and fuel line. Maybe the fuel pick-up is faulty or I've got water in the carbs ?? What should I try next ??

Thanks, Surfmon :D

Drain the carbs. Brass plug near the bottom of the bowls om most motors.

Thanks mate, I think you're dead right on that. I'll have a look at the triple carbys and figure out where the drain is for the bowls.
Cheers, Surfmon :D
