I drove up to NY this weekend to help my grandfather get the boat out. It's a 1993 FourWinns Horizon 210 that he bought new when I was about 4. I'm 21 now and enjoy the use of the boat with friends and family so try to help out as much as possible. The stern gets direct sunlight all summer where we dock it so it's starting to look pretty grubby and oxidized. Thankfully last year when I found iBoats I read the Vaseline tip. While it doesn't work 100%, it looks a whole ton better.

Can you tell where I've put the Vaseline?

And now the fun begins... in the rain.

In a couple weeks I'll go back and do the interior, although it shouldn't be too bad because last year I went all-out OCD on it.

I have OCD about Vaseline.

My boat isn't oxidized but that vaseline sure puts a shine to it. It helps to prevent water spots as well. I vaseline coat every two weeks. My wife thinks I have gone Freaky with all the vaseline.
