Customer brought a carb in today. His mechanic says carb is non-rebuildable.Customer gave us all the parts he had. There is a metal piece on the float hinge pin,and obviously the floatable part of the float is missing, broken off.Who did what I don't know.

Motor is an AQ120,and Sierra makes kits, without floats.

Volvo says NLA.I'm home now,but I'm remembering the number as 834595-1.The carb is a Solex.

Any Ideas on finding a float?

Re: Volvo Side Draft

Several old cars (Volvo, Fiat, Triumph, MG) used side draft Solex carbs.

You may get lucky at NAPA.

Thanks guys! Still working at this but keep finding references to Webber and SU on most sites, and few pics of any kits, and the ones I find, don't come with floats !Maybe it's just too old.

Re: Volvo Side Draft

It has been a long time
since i worried about Solex 44 AP1
I think there is an updated float
(brass) I am sure I have seen
kits with every single part,(indiv or group)
thats in the carb. barrells jets, float valves
floats. Both volvo and aftermarket.
Try calling 1 800 250 8746
