Volvo penta SX-ST drive unit impeller?

3.0 GL MMDA engine, SX-ST outdrive. Does this outdrive have an internal impeller or pump? Being told it does and they need to tear down the unit to replace. Restricted flow from drive to impeller at engine. I have read on this forum that there is no impeller or pump in the drive only at the engine. I need to make sure I am reading posts correctly. Can someone clarify this. .

volvo penta motors have the impeller in the raw water pump that is belt driven. it should be in front of your motor, down low

I get that. But is there another impeller or pump in the mid section of the stern drive?

There is one that has an impeller in the drive as well but I can't remember the model.
